Wanted: volunteers to help start a Greenburgh Chamber of Commerce

Greenburgh does not have a Chamber of Commerce serving Greenburgh businesses- Central Ave, 119, Saw Mill River Rd, E Hartsdale Ave

LET’S START A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR GREENBURGH!
THERE IS NO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR EAST HARTSDALE AVE, ROUTE 119, CENTRAL AVE, SAW MILL RIVER ROAD

Town Supervisor Seeks Volunteers to Help Create Local Biz Network

Greenburgh is a great place to live, work and shop - we boast a diverse community of neighborhoods, citizens and businesses - but we sorely lack a Chamber of Commerce to support these businesses.

Chambers of Commerce play an important role in the economic development of many communities like ours. Local Chambers exist in order to help businesses –and small business owners – thrive all while connecting with customers/consumers. Among the resources they might offer are:

  • Networking opportunities
  • Marketing and sponsorship opportunities
  • Education and training resources
  • Access to funding sources
  • Bring awareness to local businesses
  • Increase commercial activity
  • Announce local events
  • Announce new business initiatives
  • Learn from each other
  • Access local and state governmental support and advocacy
  • and much, much more!

Greenburgh has never had a Chambe of Commerce serving the entire unincorporated section of town.r. There are strong Chambers serving the Rivertowns, Elmsford, White Plains, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow but none for Greater Greenburgh. I envision one serving this umbrella of Greater Greenburgh with separate groups within that for our main business areas – Route 119, East. Hartsdale Ave, Central Ave, Saw Mill River Road.

If you are interested in helping start such an initiative, please let me know if you’d like to volunteer. My email is pfeiner@greenburghny.com and my number is 914.438.1343.
