Welding Thought to Be Cause of Tarrytown Fire That Displaced 4 Families

Ten adults and five children can't return to their homes yet.

Tarrytown, NY — A fire at a multifamily Tarrytown home Tuesday was likely caused by welders working at the site.

Four families, comprised of 10 adults and five children, were displaced, lohud.com said.

The fire, which started around 10 a.m., was at 16 White St.

Tarrytown firefights arrived to find all three floors of the building engulfed in flames, according to FIOS1News.com.

The welders were doing work close to the front steps of the building.
