Wrong-way Driver Charged with DWI on I-87
He was pulled over before any accidents happened.

A Queens man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly driving drunk.
New York State Police said Simon Rashid, 31, of Hollis, was traveling the wrong way on the southbound lanes of I-87 near the Tappan Zee Bridge around 2:34 a.m.
With the assistance of a tow truck, troopers were able to pull Rashid over before any incidents happened.

When stopped, he was found to be intoxicated, police said.
Rashid was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the amount of alcohol in his system.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Rashid was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets to return to the Village of Tarrytown Court on a future date.
