We’re here to help you get rid of that unnecessary paperwork in a safe and environmentally friendly way. A shredding truck from A Shred Away, Inc. will be in Emma Clark Library's parking lot for on-site shredding of personal documents. There is a limit of 5 boxes or bags.&nbsp;All paper collected will be recycled at a certified paper mill.&nbsp;Please note: No plastic, carbon paper, hanging files, red well folders, cardboard, newspapers, or magazines. Clips and staples are fine to put through the shredder. No wet papers, and please take any boxes, bags, etc. back home with you.Saturday, May 2&nbsp;from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Emma Clark Library parking lot.

On January 6, 1941, Franklin Roosevelt shared with the country his vision for a world founded on “four essential freedoms” – freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. 2025 marked the 80th anniversary of the ending of World War II, which brought about the new world order based on FDR’s Four Freedoms. This session explores the vision Roosevelt held for all the world. Led by Jeffrey Urbin, Education Specialist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. The Atelier at Flowerfield

Celebrate the return of Spring and May Day with this workshop. Did you know that May Day has its roots in astronomy? Traditionally, it was the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice! People around the world celebrate “Bringing in the May,” by gathering cuttings of flowering branches of forsythia, magnolia, redbud, lilac, or other flowering cuttings.
Here at The Atelier, we celebrate May Day by painting a garden and not have any weeds! At this workshop, you will learn how to paint flowers in either oils or acrylics.Your instructor, Pam Best, is an Atelier Fellow and her floral paintings have won the hearts of many.You can select any or all of these flowers to create your own bouquet to keep or give as a gift.
The cost for this 3-hour workshop on Saturday, May 9th, is $100 per person which includes materials.
