STONY BROOK, NY — Patients at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital got a nice surprise and special holiday delivery Friday afternoon. Members of the Suffolk County Police Department’s Sixth Precinct Cops Who Care paid them a visit in superhero garb.

John Skippon, police operations aide, dressed up as Captain America, while detective Jennifer Fortunato donned a Captain Marvel outfit. Other officers joined them, delivering presents to the children.

This marked the third year Cops Who Care officers visited with pediatric patients in hopes of brightening their holidays.
