Emma Clark Library is bringing Downton Abbey to Three Village!
In-person registration begins on Nov. 3rd at the library.

Take a step back in time to the post-Edwardian Yorkshire countryside…Imagine you are mingling with the Crawley family…Discuss “current” events like the sinking of the Titanic or the First World War…
In anticipation of season five of PBS’s period drama Downton Abbey, Emma Clark Library is hosting a high tea at the Bates House on Saturday, December 13th from 2:00 – 5:00pm. There will be jazz music, dancing, and light refreshments.
Come to the Adult Reference Desk, beginning November 3, to register and pick up your ticket. Library cardholders may each register one guest.

Guests are encouraged to wear their best period costume, and both singles and couples are welcome.
This event involves the entire community. A special thank you to our teen volunteers for sharing their time and talent, the Three Village Garden Club for the centerpieces, Empire Tent Rental for lending the tea cups and saucers, Setauket Gourmet for providing refreshments, and The Bates House for graciously donating the space for this spectacular afternoon.

T.K. Blue (www.tkblue.com) is the Director of Jazz Studies at Long Island University-LIU-Post Campus. He graduated with a B.A. in Music and Psychology from New York University and a Master’s in Music Education at Columbia University. He has performed with his own groups and has worked with such diverse artists as vocalists Jeffrey Smith, Bobby McFerrin (North Sea Jazz Festival), and Jimmy Scott; Pharoah Sanders and Dizzy Gillespie (Spirit of Our Ancestors recording); trombonist Benny Powell, poet Jayne Cortez, tap dancer Joseph Webb (Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk), Ghanaian drummer Yacub Addy’s Odadaa, and Afro-Caribbean percussionist Norman Hedman’s Tropique, among numerous others.
The Three Village Garden Club promotes an interest in gardens; cooperates in the protection of wildflowers, trees, and birds; and preserves the natural beauty of our community and encourages its artistic development.
Formerly a private residence, The Bates House is nestled within the Frank Melville Park.
