March for Babies (walk-a-thon)

More than 30,000 babies are born premature in NY each year, representing over 12% of all live births. More than 4,000 of those babies are born right here on Long Island. Almost 200 of them will not live to see their 1st birthday.

Join us on SUNDAY, MAY 6 at STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY to be part of the nation's first walk event (started in 1970 by the March of Dimes).

March for Babies is a fun, family-oriented event that kicks off with a 3-mile walk at the athletic fields behind Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. Local sponsors provide snacks and drinks, as well as other "freebies". March for Babies revenue is generated through your walker and/or team donations as well as corporate sponsorships.
