The Long Island Museum Presents: America’s 1950s Frontier

The Long Island Museum will host an exhibit from July to the month of December.

Long Island, America’s 1950s Frontier:    Exhibit will feature compelling artifacts, photographs, and video oral histories.  A fashion gallery will display trendy 1950s clothing.  Other special artifacts include a working jukebox, a hat worn by famous developer Robert Moses, and popular toys from the era, like a Red Ryder BB gun.

The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Sunday from noon to 5.  Regular admission is $9 per person, $7 for seniors and $4 for students ages six to 17.  Children under six and museum members are free.

Admission is $1 every Thursday through Labor Day.
