Stony Brook Fire Department Christmas Parade Set For Dec. 18

STONY BROOK, NY — The Stony Brook Fire Department's Christmas Parade is set for Dec. 18.
It will run from about 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Residents living on dead ends and cul-de-sacs were advised to view the parade from the nearest corner.

"Listen for our sirens and look for our lights," officials wrote in a recent Facebook post.
Candy canes will not be distributed this year, nor will firefighters be accepting gifts.

"Happy Holidays, everyone," department officials wrote. "Santa's elves have been busy working on the floats for a few weeks already and we are excited to be coming through the neighborhoods on [Dec. 18]. We're looking forward to seeing you."
