Suffolk Police Seeking Info On Stony Brook Burglary

Four long guns, a safe, assorted jewelry, and documents, all worth about $1,500, were stolen from Hargrove Road, cops say.

STONY BROOK, NY — Suffolk police are seeking information about the burglary of a Stony Brook home last week.

Police said unknown person removed the screen from the window of a Hargrove Drive home and went inside sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on April 22. The person stole four long guns, a safe, and assorted jewelry, as well as identification documents, all valued at about $1,500, according to police.

Police have released images of a man, who has a scooter, as well as a dark-colored sport-utility vehicle, that were seen in the area around the time of the burglary, but no other details.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
