Take Your Child to the Library Day at Emma Clark
Kids of all ages (birth – 6th grade) are welcome to participate in this annual library event over Winter Break.

During the school winter recess, on Thursday, February 20 between 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., there will be lots of extra excitement in the children’s library. We’re once again participating in the annual “Take Your Child to the Library Day”, first started in 2012 and now an international movement to raise awareness and to celebrate families taking their kids to the local library. We’ll have carnival games, face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon sculpting, crafts and more.
Additionally, in keeping with the festivities of “Take Your Child to the Library Day”, each new library card sign-up on February 20 will be entered in a raffle. You’re never too young for a library card! Parents can get a card for their young one as soon as they are born and immediately start enjoying the Library’s resources, such as the “Time for Baby” and “Baby Start Story Time” classes.
“Take Your Child to the Library Day” showcases the significance of libraries as a community hub, a foundation of education, and a source of entertainment and enrichment. This event encourages parents to take full advantage of their local library and emphasizes the importance of libraries to our future generation.

Why is it so vital for children to visit the library? The library is a symbol of lifelong learning and that lesson starts right from infancy. Listed here are just a few of the (free!) benefits of bringing your children to the library:
