Long Island Teen Made Terroristic Threat Aimed At Stony Brook School: Police
He threatened to bring weapons and harm students and faculty at R.C. Murphy Junior High School, police said.
STONY BROOK, NY — A teenager was cuffed Thursday night after he made a school threat on social media, Suffolk police said.
The 14-year-old boy, who is a student, made threats on social media stating that he was "going to bring weapons" to the R.C. Murphy Junior High School on Oxhead Road in Stony Brook and "harm students and faculty," according to police.
No weapons were found in the teen’s home when 6th Squad detectives arrested him, police said, adding, that he was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for evaluation.

The teen was charged with making a terrorist threat and was arraigned at Family Court in Central Islip on Friday, police said.
Suffolk police do not release the names of minors charged with crimes.
