Ward Melville High School Students Give Thanks To Veterans

Students are creating monthly goodie bags to accompany meals delivered to local veterans.

Just before Veterans Day, students in Tammy Dalton’s class at Ward Melville High School kicked off an initiative designed to give back to those who served the nation throughout the school year.

Partnering with the Cooking for Long Island Veterans organization, students are creating monthly goodie bags to accompany meals delivered to local veterans. Each student was assigned a job and worked in an assembly line to fill bags with sweet treats and label bags with personalized stickers.
