Ward Melville Students Visit Stony Brook Art Collection
Students viewed a private collection of art by M.C. Ecsher during a recent visit to Stony Brook University.

Ward Melville High School students enrolled in Advanced Placement Studio and Multivariable Calculus classes recent viewed a private collection from the artist M.C. Ecsher, which is the largest private collection owned by Rock J. Walker. Housed at the Simon’s Center on the campus at Stony Brook University, the collection features original prints that are incredibly detailed.

During their visit, students viewed woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotint prints that showcased the ability of Escher to illustrate line, geometric forms and surrealistic metamorphosis of animals.
