• NY State grants county request to name bridge after fallen Officer Stpehen Raymond (einpresswire.com) — A Northway overpass at Exit 23 in Lake George will soon be dedicated as the ECO Stephen L. Raymond Memorial Bridge, honoring a longtime environmental officer who lived in Thurman. Raymond, a Navy veteran and 9/11-related cancer victim, spent much of his 26-year DEC career serving Warren County and the Adirondacks. State lawmakers, Warren County leaders, and his widow worked together to secure the new law; a dedication date will be announced.
