(tompkinsweekly.com) — Smith Woods in the Town of Ulysses is being considered for a Critical Environmental Area designation, which would add extra protection against harmful development. Town officials say the forest’s wetlands, easy access from Trumansburg schools, and flat, public trails make it uniquely valuable for health, education, and recreation. A public hearing will be scheduled so residents can weigh in.
