• Felipe Martins exclusive: 'The reality is that after you retire… people just disappear' (worldsoccertalk.com) — Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex is slated to host The Island F.C.’s new soccer-specific stadium when the club joins MLS Next Pro in spring 2027, bringing regular pro-development games to town. Former MLS midfielder Felipe Martins will lead the club’s under-17 and under-19 teams and oversee player development, drawing on his long playing career and recent coaching studies.
