2 New Pizza Places To Open On UES
Wiliamsburg Pizza and Morningside Heights favorite Koronet Pizza are setting up shop in the neighborhood.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Two new pizza places are set to open on the Upper East Side in a move that will preserve the neighborhood's pizza equilibrium.
Williamsburg Pizza and Columbia University-favorite Koronet Pizza will debut soon in the neighborhood. The arrival of the two new spaces counteracts the recent losses of Two Boots on Second and East 84th and Pizza Beach on Third and East 81st Street.
A red-and-white-striped awning reading "Williamsburg Pizza" was recently installed at the former Second Avenue and East 84th Street location of Two Boots. The slice joint also has locations in Williamsburg, the Lower East Side, Crown Heights and NoHo.

Koronet Pizza will open its Upper East Side location on Lexington Avenue near East 77th Street, a manager at the Morningsie Heights location told Patch. The manager, named Willy, said the location could open by the end of March, but couldn't provide an exact answer on an opening day.
The pizza place is a favorite among Columbia University students for its long hours and massive slices. The Morningside Heights manager told Patch that the Upper East Side location will be modeled after its west side counterpart, but that the full menu has not been decided on.
