$89.5M Condo Breaks Record On The Upper East Side, Report Says

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Upper East Side just saw the neighborhood's most expensive condo deal ever, according to the latest data from the Olshan Report.

The record-setting condo is a $89.5 million triplex penthouse located at 1122 Madison Ave., between East 83rd Street and East 84th Street. The building, which released its floor plans on Jan. 15, has gone into contract on 18 units so far, the report shows.

The $89.5 million unit, which sold on Friday, spans the 20th floor through the 22nd floor, with 9,350 square feet including seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and one powder room.

The condo also has a 23-by-33-foot great room with a soaring double-height ceiling as well as ample outdoor space, with three terraces, one loggia and three balconies, according to the listing.

Designed by Studio Sofield, the building sits one block from Central Park and comprises 26 condo residences spread across 22 floors, in addition to a fitness center and spa. Since launching sales, the building’s owners have raised prices several times, Olshan reported.

Nine other deals also closed over the $4 million mark this past week, including three co-ops, four condos, and two townhouses.
