UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Former Upper East Side Congressmember Carolyn Maloney is suing the owners of a Carnegie Hill townhouse and the City of New York after a slip-and-fall on a sidewalk last winter left her with hospital bills.

According to the court documents, Maloney was walking by 134 E 92nd St., between Lexington and Park avenues on Feb. 15 when she slipped and fell on ice.

In the suit, Maloney said the "grievous personal injuries" required surgery and a hospital stay, and have led to "permanent and significant" limitations.

According to the New York Post, Maloney fractured her shoulder in the incident. The co-owner of the townhouse, Maria Quinn, told the Post she had no memory of Maloney falling in front of her home.

The 79-year-old is demanding damages for her medical bills, interest and legal costs, according to court documents.
