Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation At UES Middle School: NYPD
The NYPD's emergency service units and canine units evacuated the building and did a full investigation.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The students and staff at Robert Wagner Middle School were evacuated after a false bomb threat was called in on Tuesday morning, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the 911 call was made at 8:44 a.m. after the school, located at 220 East 76th Street, received a phone call that there was a pipe bomb in a bookbag.
The NYPD's emergency service units and canine units evacuated the building and did a full investigation, finding no bomb.

Police said that no one was injured, and no arrests have been made yet.
Several other schools across the city, in southern Brooklyn, northern and Central Queens, received similar threats, police said.
