Boxing Gym Backed By Sylvester Stallone, Justin Bieber Coming To UES
Rumble, which offers boxing-based group workouts, secured a 10 year lease on Third Avenue between East 84th and 85th streets.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — This year Upper East Siders will be able to work out like Rocky Balboa. Rumble, a boxing gym backed by Sylvester Stallone and Justin Bieber, has leased out space on Third Avenue between East 84th and 85th streets, according to reports.
The gym, which offers boxing-based group workout sessions, teased a 2017 opening on its Instagram page.

Unlike in the Stallone movie "Rocky," Rumble's training regimen includes the use of specially designed water-filled punching bags — not frozen meat carcasses. Half of the workout is boxing-based and the other half is a full-body workout, according to a video on the gym's website.

"Rumble incorporates the best principles of the sweet science of boxing and strength training, all to help you develop that lean, strong, and confident fighter's physique," the gym states on its website.
The gym will lease the entire building at 1495 Third Avenue, the Real Deal first reported. The lease has a length of 10 years and is valued at $1 million per year, the Real Deal reported.

The gym will likely be the third Rumble location to open in New York City. The gym chain already operates in Chelsea and is planning to open in NoHo this summer.
