Car Plows Into Outdoor Dining On Upper East Side
Three people were injured after a two-car crash sent one vehicle careening into outdoor restaurant dining on 2nd Avenue Monday.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Three people were injured, including one who was hospitalized, after a car crash sent one vehicle careening into outdoor restaurant dining near 2nd Avenue and East 92nd Street Monday night, authorities said.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. when a Cadillac Escalade heading east on 92nd hit an Audi driving south on 2nd, a police spokesperson told Patch. The collision sent the Audi hurdling into the outdoor dining setup outside Delizia 92, an Italian restaurant.
Video from the scene showed numerous emergency vehicles and crumpled tents over the dining area.

The Audi driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to NewYork Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, and two other people were treated at the scene. No restaurant patrons were injured, police said.

A Delizia employee reached by phone Monday night was unable to comment.
