UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A trending downtown frozen yogurt shop is bringing its swirls of tart desserts — as well as its notoriously long lines of teens and foodies — to the Upper East Side soon.
Mimi's, opening at Lexington Avenue and East 72nd Street, puts an Australian spin on the frozen treat with fresh ingredients, including raspberries from Oregon, matcha from Japan, and mangoes from India.

Mimi's, started by Australian Amber Linz, is joining a growing number of dessert spots catering to Upper East Siders looking for a sweet treat, like Mythos, which opened in early June.
Mimi's other locations are in Greenwich Village and Soho, where Linz first operated a froyo pop-up last summer before becoming a permanent fixture. Downtown, the lines can run infamously long.

The menu also features toppings like Medjool dates sourced from California, cookie dough, brownies, pistachio sauce from Italy, Guittard chocolate chips, Swedish candy and more, according to the brand's website.
No word yet on when the shop will open, but signage for the new spot went up this week.
Mimi's is located at 997 Lexington Ave.
