UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A limestone townhouse has been left vacant after The David Zwirner Gallery closed earlier this week, Artnet News reports.
The gallery, which has shown modern and contemporary art across four floors of the townhouse at 34 East 69th St. for nine years, has relocated to its main campus downtown in Chelsea, according to Artnet.
The gallery's overhauled Chelsea space is located at 525 West 19th St., with other satellite spaces along the street.

"It was always our plan to leave the Upper East Side once the last phase of our Chelsea overhaul was complete," a Zwirner spokesperson told Artnet.
