Get Into the Christmas Spirit at A Christmas Carol on Broadway!
Now playing at Lyceum Theater

Waverly here, your Patch NYC Kids' Mayor! What better way to get into the holiday spirit than watching an amazing classic on Broadway - A Christmas Carol!

What I liked best about this play was a few things; the set was gorgeous, the special effects were SO COOL, and the acting was amazing (I'm very picky when it comes to how people act). Even before the show, the actors made it seem like you were living in the old times, you'll see what I mean when you go to the show! Campbell Scott was perfect as Scrooge, and the ghosts were also awesome, and added some humor to the show. Another thing I thought was amazing about this show was Jai Ram Srinivasam as Tiny Tim. He is such a fantastic actor, and the cutest thing ever! He wants to show people with Cerebral Palsy that anything is possible, and he definitely showed me that by watching his performance!

The lesson that I learned from this play is that change is within everyone. No matter how mean or unhappy you’ve been in the past, things can always change as long as you want them to. Kids should see this show because the plot is very easy to follow, so they can understand what is happening even if they don’t know the story. It’s a really cool show with awesome effects and they will definitely get into the Christmas spirit by watching it! Not to mention, they’ll love the bell carols (or as I like to call them, bell symphonies)! Literally everything about this show is beautiful and I hope it comes back every year. It is also a really fun show! I didn’t expect that. I can’t give it away but there’s definitely some Christmas magic in this show, and some really fun audience participation….you’ll just have to see it to know what I mean! Once you do, I guarantee you’ll be touched by the spirit of Christmas, just like Old Mr. Scrooge.

Their end goal is while offering support when needed, they hope to help the moms reimagine their futures and assist in getting them back on their feet and independent again.
