The museum will also offer Frank Lloyd Wright-themed activities and exhibits throughout the month of June.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Guggenheim Museum is celebrating iconic architect Frank Lloyd Wright's 150th birthday by offering reduced admission on Thursday, June 8, and conducting related activities and exhibits throughout the month.
Museumgoers entering the Guggenheim, located on Fifth Avenue between East 88th and 89th streets, on Thursday will only have to pay $1.50 admission, the museum announced. The museum will be open between 10 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
In addition to reduced admission on Wright's birthday, the museum has hired an actor to portray Wright in the Guggenheim cafe. At noon, the museum will hold a focused tour of the museum's Frank Lloyd Wright building.

Fans of Wright's work shouldn't be disappointed if they can't make it to the museum on Thursday though. The Gugenheim will hold a series of Wright-themed activities and events during the month of June such as architecture tours, workshops and family events.
Wright was a renowned American architect and interior designer who designed more than 500 completed buildings during his lifetime. The Guggenheim museum is considered one of Wright's most notable architectural designs.
