Minimalist Fashion Boutique Opens On Upper East Side

The new store was founded in 2014 to offer women "refined yet casual" fashion options.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A trendy fashion boutique favored by celebrities such as Solange Knowles and Gwyneth Paltrow recently debuted a new location on the Upper East Side.

KES, founded by designer Lia Kes Berman in 2014, opened on Madison Avenue between East 86th and 87th streets, a store spokesperson said. The boutique was founded to provide women minimalist fashion offerings that have a "rawness and informal elegance," according to a press release.

"My stores are intended to give the KES woman a pause from the chaos of everyday life, to serve her style needs, intellect, and sensuality," Kes Berman said in a statement.
