Outdoor Movie Night Makes Return To NYC's Randall's Island Park
The park welcomes families to see "Raya And The Dragon" on Fields 80, 81 and participate in other kid-friendly activities Sunday evening.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — As New York City continues to celebrate its reopening after many live events were canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Randall’s Island Park Alliance is getting back in the swing of things with its outdoor movie night.
Randall’s Island Park, which is located at 20 Randall’s Island Park in New York, will offer an array of family activities on Sunday before the evening’s movie, Raya And The Last Dragon, is shown beginning at 8 p.m. The movie will be shown on Fields 80 and 81 and free snacks will be offered while supplies last.
Families are welcome to bring a blanket to relax while viewing the movie, which takes viewers to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons live together in harmony. That is until monsters, known as the Drunn, attack. The film casts viewers into a future time when Raya, a warrior princess, and the last remaining dragon known to exist on Kumandra, fight the Drunn.
