UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Developers have released new images of the new 38-story luxury condominium building that replaced a six-story rental building in Yorkville.

The fancy new high-rise, located at 175 East 82nd St. near Third Avenue, will include 73 condos, ranging from one- to six-bedroom layouts, and four sweeping penthouses, Douglaston Development representatives said.

The apartments are at a grand scale, with wide-plank flooring, enormous windows, foyers, laundry rooms, ample closets, and oversized living and dining rooms.

Though the building is more than six times taller than the building it replaced, it will have 17 fewer apartments than before. In June 2024, Douglaston Development bought the six-story, 90-unit apartment building for $114.5 million, according to property records.

"This development is emblematic of iconic Upper East Side living, thoughtfully positioned on a corridor that delivers the refined ‘quiet luxury’ lifestyle today’s discerning condominium buyers seek," Jeffrey Levine, the chairman of Douglaston Development, said in a press release.

The new building includes two floors of high-end amenities, including a 40-foot indoor pool, a fitness center complete with a yoga and Pilates studio, a sauna, a children's playroom, a lounge and a media room.

The tower also features 3,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and private parking.

Though the building is still under construction, condo sales have officially launched.

"The careful textures, materials, and artistry in the home bring a sense of depth and warmth to every space," Nancy Ruddy, the executive director of Interior Design at CetraRuddy, the firm in charge of the building's design, said.

The project is still under construction and is expected to be completed in Fall 2027, developers said.
