Upper West Side residents make a difference for children in need

Volunteers participate in UJA-Federation of New York's Supplies for Success backpack assembly event

Volunteers filled 1,400 new backpacks with school supplies for children in need at UJA-Federation of New York’s annual Supplies for Success backpack assembly event on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. The backpacks will be distributed through Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, The Educational Alliance, New York Legal Assistance Group, and Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst. Supplies for Success, now in its 17th year, has filled over 85,000 filled backpacks, sending students back to school with the tools they need to have a successful year.
