Try Seven Instruments in One Day at Bloomingdale School of Music's Instrument Discovery Day!
Ever wondered what it actually feels like to play the violin, trumpet or drums? On Sunday, September 13, Bloomingdale School of Music invites New Yorkers of all ages to find out at Instrument Discovery Day.
Held at Bloomingdale’s historic music school at 323 West 108th Street, the hands-on event gives children, teens and adults the chance to try guitar, flute, trumpet, percussion, piano, violin and voice with guidance from Bloomingdale’s experienced faculty.
The event is designed for curious beginners as much as future musicians. Participants can move from instrument to instrument, make some noise and perhaps discover the one they never knew they wanted to play.
Instrument Discovery Day begins at 11 a.m. Tickets are $10 for those trying the instruments. Parents, guardians and other chaperones attending with participants do not need to purchase a ticket.
