Person Jumps To Death From Former UWS Trump Building, Police Say
A person was found dead Wednesday in the courtyard of a formerly Trump-branded building on Riverside Boulevard.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is investigating the death of a person who jumped from an Upper West Side apartment building that was formerly branded "Trump Place," police said.
The person was found in the courtyard of 180 Riverside Boulevard, located between West 68th and 69th streets, around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. An early investigation led the NYPD to believe that the person — who could not be identified — jumped from a window of the building, police said.
EMS declared the person dead at the scene, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

The building was once one of three named "Trump Place," but were not development by President Donald Trump. After Trump was elected president — with no help from the liberal-leaning Upper West Side — hundreds of embarrassed tenants petitioned the landlord of the three buildings to dump the Trump name.
Landlord Equity Residential agreed to re-brand the buildings, which are now known by their street addresses.
