• Oneida County CO, Inmate Charged in Drug Investigation (fingerlakesdailynews.com) — An inmate from Utica and a Oneida County correction officer are facing charges after investigators say contraband was brought into the county jail. The officer, hired in 2023, has been suspended and faces termination, while 28‑year‑old Utica resident Johnathan Franklin remains incarcerated and awaits arraignment on promoting prison contraband and conspiracy charges.
