
Back by popular demand, “Utica on Film: Landmark Moments” offers a chance to view rare films and videos capturing iconic moments from Utica’s past. This special event will be held at the Oneida County History Center on Saturday, February November 21, at 2:00 PM. It will showcaseseldom-before-seen footage, including the 1932 Centennial Celebration, vintage Utica Street trolleys, the grand reopening of the Boston Store, and the bittersweet farewell to the legendary Donalty and Callahan’s Saloon.
WKTV NEWS Channel 2 Meteorologist Eric Gage will also be on hand, sharing historical films from WKTV’s archive and discussing insights into the digitization process. Gage, a Central New York native and SUNY Oneonta graduate, has been instrumental in unearthing and preserving these visual treasures along with WKTV anchor Ben Kinne.
