• Attorney accused of defrauding multiple clients of more than $855K (abajournal.com) — A Wading River resident who works as an attorney in Suffolk County has been charged with allegedly taking large sums of client money and not providing the promised legal services. Investigators say the funds were instead used for gambling and personal expenses over about two years, and prosecutors have brought grand larceny and related charges that could carry a lengthy prison term if he is convicted.
