The news is filled with more tragedy, this time in Texas, a fertilizer plant explodes many dead, many more injured. Our Senate refused to pass even as minor a bill as background checks for gun purchasers. At least the sun rose this morning. A welcome sight. With the TV and radio off, its rays will warm some of the chill left by the news.
