MINEOLA, NY — A man was sentenced on Tuesday for a 2020 crash on Sunrise Highway near the Wantagh Parkway.

"The defendant was indifferent to his passenger’s safety and every person on the road with him that night," Donnelly said. "Today’s sentence proves once again that my office will aggressively prosecute vehicular crimes and protect our roadways from dangerous individuals."

Woods was convicted last month on second-degree assault, second-degree vehicular assault and two counts of driving while intoxicated.
