After Taking In Hoarder Cats, TOH Animal Shelter Seeks Donations

The shelter seeks blankets and newspapers to line the cat cages.

WANTAGH, NY — Following the recent seizure of cats are hoarder's home, the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter is desperately in need of donations.

They seek towels, blankets and newspapers, "as these items are used to line the cages," the town wrote on its Facebook page.

Donations can be made at the rear of the building, located at 3320 Beltagh Avenue.

At least a dozen cats were rescued from a North Bellmore home this week and will be available for adoption once they are medically cleared.
