Barclays Tournament to Close Roads

The road closures for PGA event will begin Tuesday morning and run through Sunday.

Tiger Woods and the rest of the top 125 golfers on the PGA Tour will bring their game to the this week as part of the Barclays Tournament, along with some serious traffic in the area.

Nassau County Police have announced that multiple roads shut down near Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale starting Tuesday.

The road closures will begin Tuesday and run until to Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Round Swamp Road south beginning at Bethpage-Sweethollow Road to Quaker Meeting House Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Quaker Meeting House Road from Bethpage Road west to Merritts Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Only local residents will be permitted access to the area, police said. Motorists should seek alternate routes and anticipate delays in the area.
