Bellmore Nightclub Owner Files $2.5 Million Suit Against Wantagh Man
Claims the Wantagh resident has been stopping him from opening a new club, claiming he's tied to organized crime

The owner of a Bellmore nightclub has filed a $2.5 million lawsuit against the man he says is stopping him from opening a second venue in Wantagh.
According to the New York Daily News, Billy Dean, the owner and operator of Billy Dean's Showtime Cafe in North Bellmore, has been fighting for years to obtain the necessary permits to open another club, this time in Wantagh. The News reported that Dean said the new venture would have no nudity, and would be a Las Vegas-styal cabaret with stage entertainment, live music and dancers.
The Daily News reports that Dean filed a lawsuit against Wantagh resident Kevin Milano, claiming that he has been working to stop his new venue from opening and accused him of having ties to organized crime.

There will be a meeting at Hempstead Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 to discuss the proposed development.
