Boys Approached By Men In Truck In Nassau

BREAKING: Police are searching for the two men who tried to lure the young boys into their truck.

Nassau County police are searching for two men who tried to get two young boys into their truck in Seaford Tuesday evening.

According to police, the two boys, ages 11 and 12, were riding their bicycles at the intersection of Bayview Street and Ocean Avenue when two unknown men approached them. They were in an older model white pick-up truck (possibly a Ford) with a yellow New York license plate. The truck had a ladder in the back.

The passenger, while still in the truck, asked the boys if they needed a ride. The boys said they needed to call their parents and the truck fled eastbound on Bayview Street.

The driver was a white man with gray, curly hair. The passenger was in his mid-30s with short black hair and a receding hairline.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to contact the Seventh Precinct at 516-573-6752 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
