Would You Buy a $170 Hairbrush?

Who would spend $170 on a hairbrush?

I'm not someone who can easily plunk down $100 on a single beauty or fashion item. Formal dress, yes. Handbag, maybe. Shoes, no.

So when I spied a Mason Pearson brush online selling for $170, I started to wonder: who would spend that much money on a hairbrush?

The company's website states "the brush gently stimulates the scalp" and that the handle is "hand-polished." Still, it's a rubber cushion hairbrush. Am I missing the allure?

For me, it seems like an awful lot to spend in this day and age on a hairbrush. For $170, I'd be expecting a cut and color to go with it. Maybe even breakfast served in bed?!

Nope. I think I'll still go with the brushes at Ulta that range in price from under $10 to $25 to keep my hair in check.
