A wonderful day out east is planned. First, a visit to the new Parrish Art Museum on its nine-acre site overlooking the glorious Shinnecock Bay. Our docents will show us some of the outstanding pieces in their permanent collection as well as the current exhibition. Four of the works of the late artist/poet/gardener Robert Dash, whose home and garden we will visit, are hanging in the museum as well. We can view his paintings, then visit the actual sights Dash painted! A delicious lunch will be had at the charming Pierre's Restaurant in Bridgehampton. After lunch, we will visit The Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack, (Madoo means "My Dove" in Old Scot) which has been described by the New York Times as an "ever-changing masterpiece" and "one of America's ten most beautiful gardens." We will enjoy a guided tour of the garden and visit Robert Dash's charming home. Registration begins Tuesday, May 6th at the Circulation Desk.
Cost: $98 per person includes transportation, museum entry, docents, garden/house fees and lunch
