Cops: 3 Teens on Bikes Rob Woman Walking Dog

Woman walking dog was knocked down by three teens on BMX bikes Tuesday morning, police said.

A woman was walking her dog in Massapequa when she was knocked down and robbed by three teenagers on bicycles, according to Nassau County Police.

Detectives said the 46-year-old victim was walking on a path in Massapequa Preserve near Parkside Boulevard when she was approached by the trio from behind.

One of the boys knocked the woman to the ground and caused her to drop her iPod, cops said. The boy picked it up but threw it into a bush as all three fled on their bikes to Parkside Boulevard, police said.

The incident happened at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.

One teen was described as a 19-year-old white male with dark brown hair. He was wearing jeans and had a sleeve tattoo on his right arm, police said. The other two are described as 17-year-old white males with brown hair. All three were riding BMX bicycles.
