Cops: Catalytic Convertors, Batteries, Mirrors, Stolen from Cars

Car parts were targeted by thieves last week as mirrors, batteries, catalytic convertors, and other parts were swiped from parked cars, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops also reported five cars that were stolen in residential areas in East Meadow, Roosevelt, Elmont, Inwood, and Oceanside.

Aug. 7: Wickshire Drive, East Meadow; tan 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora

Aug. 10: Belmont Racetrack, Elmont; black 2013 Acura MDX

Aug. 11: Henry Street, Inwood; 2001 Ford E350

Aug. 13: Cleveland Avenue, Oceanside; gray 2012 Hyundai Sonata

Aug. 13: East Pennywood Avenue, Roosevelt; white 2010 Honda Accord

Larceny from Parked Cars

Aug. 5: P/L, Hicksville; three rear view mirrors stolen from company cars.

Aug. 6: Expiditors, Inwood; four batteries stolen from two cars.

Aug. 7: Polk Avenue, Franklin Square; items stolen from car, alarm bypassed.

Aug. 7: Oaks Drive, Franklin Square; items stolen from unlocked car.

Aug. 7: Block Boulevard, Massapequa; two cars rummaged through and burglarized.

Aug. 7: Nutty Irishman Bar, Farmingdale; laptop stolen from front seat through open window.

Aug. 7: Baldwin LIRR: items stolen.

Aug. 8: Elizabeth Street, New Cassel; tire and rim stolen from parked car, attempted theft of spare tire.
