Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. Nassau County Police released a surveillance photo of a man they say stole frozen food and fought with a security guard in a Levittown supermarket.Cops said the man caught on camera went into King Kullen on Hempstead Turnpike at 6:05 p.m. on June 7. While there, he took $10 worth of frozen food packages and tried to leave without paying, police said.When a loss prevention officer approached him, the subject fought with him and injured the officer in the right bicep, cops said. The man then fled the store in an unknown direction, cops said.Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
