Cops: Hicksville Man Posed as Doctor, Wrote Fake Prescriptions

The man contacted multiple Rite Aid pharmacies across Nassau County, police said.

A Hicksville man posed as a doctor and forged prescriptions for Oxycodone and Meloxicam, authorities said.

Nassau Police say that between June 19 and July 13 Adeel Riaz, 28, contacted multiple Rite Aid pharmacies throughout Nassau County, pretending to be a doctor in order to get the prescriptions filled.

Through an investigation, police located Riaz on Wednesday, driving a 2002 Toyota in front of his home. Riaz was arrested without incident, police said.
