Cops: Man Who Drove Wrong Way on Hempstead Turnpike Was Drunk
Wyandanch man, who drank underage, charged with DWI in Levittown, cops said.

A Wyandanch man faces charges after being drunk at the wheel and driving on the wrong side of the road early Sunday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said a Second Precinct officer saw a 2002 Mitsubishi driving east in the westbound lanes of Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
Police pulled the car over and determined the driver, Wardin Guerra, 19, was drunk at the wheel and took him into custody, police said.

Guerra was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and several vehicle and traffic law violations. He will be arraigned at First District Court Sunday.
