- Afternoon Music - Dynamic Duo: Join us on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Seaford Public Library for an afternoon of musical comedy! Comedic musician Arnie Greenfield and partner cabaret singer Pat Tropea will perform popular standards-with a twist, complete with original and off-beat lyrics! This unique show will have you laughing and singing along!
- Film - The Great Gatsby: Shown on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Seaford Public Library. A Midwestern war veteran finds himself drawn to the past and lifestyle of his millionaire neighbor. Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. Rated: PG-13; 143 Minutes.
- Project Hope - Free Workshop for Sandy Victims: Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library. Project Hope will be offering free educational workshops for individuals who were impacted by hurricane Sandy. The workshops will focus on the strength and resilience who those who weathered the storm.
- The Elizabeth Grace Band: Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wantagh Public Library. The Elizabeth Grace Band is a group of talented local musicians led by Elizabeth Stumpel. Join them for an afternoon of jazz, blues, and classic rock music.
- The Lustgarten Foundation's 13th Annual LI Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk: On Sunday, October 13, local residents will join together for The Lustgarten Foundation’s 13th annual Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk, which will be held at Jones Beach in Wantagh.
